There are many people who get carried away by the emotion of the moment and cry out to have a pet, forgetting that this implies a great responsibility, constant attention, and most importantly: being willing to treat them as a member of the family with the commitment to take care of them forever.
Unfortunately, some puppies fall into the wrong hands and are victims of unscrupulous people who make them live the worst years of their lives.
The Great Pyrenees is characterized by being a large and majestic breed.
Bear is one of those dogs, a Great Pyrenees who suffered years of anguish, especially when it was a heat wave. The puppy endured the inclement sun and cold nights for a long time chained outside his owner’s house.
Although the weather was in terrible conditions, the man did not allow him to enter , unfortunately, the neighbors witnessed the treatment the puppy received and did nothing about it.
Males can weigh between 50 and 60 kilos.
Although it is illegal in Indianapolis to keep dogs outside in extreme weather, his owner ignored the laws and caused the pooch excruciating pain.
Unfortunately, his condition worsening with each heat wave, the pup had several blood-covered wounds that over time turned into infectious sores . Bear’s owner only acted when he saw that the furry’s health condition worsened every day.
Its fur is very thick and its main color is white.
Seeing him on the verge of death, his owner feared the legal consequences that his bad deed could cause him and decided to take the puppy to a shelter , with which he managed to escape all charges.
The place where he took him is allowed to euthanize the puppies that due to their delicate state of health no one wants to save. Bear’s conditions made him a perfect candidate to be euthanized .
They can live up to 11 years.
Luckily, Bear’s fate changed completely when he was rescued by Indy Great Pyrenees Rescue .
Thanks to the fact that they intervened just in time, they managed to save the life of the innocent puppy, although they are helping him to recover, they fear that he has heart parasites and Lyme disease , a bacterial infection caused by the bite of an infected tick.
They are still carrying out tests but they are confident that everything will be fine . We are sure that he will manage to win this great battle and find a home worthy of all his love.
Making a difference is in our hands, share her story on your networks and let’s continue fighting for more laws that protect our puppies and lock up their torturers.
