Lina Medina, born in 1933 in Peru, became the youngest confirmed mother at just 5 years old. Doctors discovered she was 7 months pregnant, and she gave birth via C-section in 1939. The father’s identity remains unknown.
Due to a rare hormonal condition, Lina experienced early puberty. Her son, Gerardo, was raised by his grandparents and later learned Lina was his mother. Lina married at 30, had another child at 38, and finally received a government grant in 2002 after years of hardship.
