Danielle Nadeau, 28, says it felt like she was “standing in boiling oil” and hundreds of welts later formed all over her legs and flaked off, leaving scars which have been compared to a cheetah’s spots
A stripper claims her legs and bikini area were left covered in painful laser burns following a botched £4,000 hair removal treatment.
Danielle Nadeau, 28, said her legs were so swollen and hot after the procedure that it felt as if she was “standing in boiling oil”.
It is claimed hundreds of welts formed all over her legs and they eventually flaked off, leaving scars which have been compared with a cheetah’s spots.
Miss Nadeau, who is suing the spa that performed the treatment, claims she is earning less money as an exotic dancer because potential customers are “turned off” by the white marks on her body.

The Canadian woman posted photos of her scars on Facebook , writing: “It’s been almost five months since they burned me and I am covered in scars covering my bikini area and entire lower portion of my legs.
“Dermatologist has told me that there is nothing topical that can be used to help regain the colour pigmentation in the scarred areas.”
Miss Nadeau said she opted for laser hair removal because she was tired of shaving and waxing for her job.

She claims she suffered painful burns on her eighth visit in June.
Miss Nadeau said she complained to the technician who was removing the hairs, but they didn’t seem concerned.
She claims her legs felt swollen and hot when she left the spa.
She told CTV News: “I said to my partner, ‘It feels like I’m standing in boiling oil’.

“I have never had this experience.”
Miss Nadeau claims she returned to the spa that day to show them “the burns and blisters”, but staff were “completely unprofessional and unhelpful”.
Welts began to appear on the affected areas over the next few days.
She said: “At first it was just a bunch of red nickel-sized dots all over my legs, and they were puffed up and tender and it hurt.”

Miss Nadeau said she was left with “hypo-pigmented white dots” over her legs and bikini area after the welts flaked off.
She has tried to hide the marks with make-up and she has been forced to explain what allegedly happened when people at work ask about the scars.
She added: “Of course that decreases my wages.
“People are turned off by it, they’re put off by it.”

Miss Nadeau is now suing Ideal Image MedSpa for lost wages and damages.
Dr James Kung, a medical director at the spa, told CBC News: “We are looking into what happened in this specific case, will respond through the court process and are committed to resolving this matter.”
He said the spa’s technicians are trained and have performed “millions” of successful laser hair removal treatments.
In some cases, patients suffer adverse reactions caused by sun exposure, allergies, lotions or medications, but most are resolved over time, he added.
