Matilda, a stray dog with cerebellar hypoplasia, has captured the heart of animal rescuer Lee Asher from The Asher House.
Lee discovered Matilda through the Tacoma Humane Society, and from the moment he saw her, he knew she was a special dog.
“It feels so good to feel this way about an animal that no one ever wanted. It must feel so good for her. She feels, she loves love so much,” says Lee.
Lee expresses his gratitude for having Matilda, a wonderful dog who has changed his life and made him feel whole despite feeling like an outcast. He acknowledges that Matilda has also been impacted by their relationship.
Viewers can witness how much Matilda enjoys being loved in the video.
One viewer named Jessie shares her perspective as someone with cerebral palsy, acknowledging that struggles can help one find their purpose, just like Matilda has found hers. Another viewer remarks that Matilda’s message, without saying a word, is that being alive and feeling wanted brings her happiness, even though every step is a struggle.
Another viewer, moved to tears, praises Lee’s capacity to love all these abandoned animals unconditionally and celebrate their uniqueness. They acknowledge that Matilda has found her loving daddy and is no longer lost.
