Patrick Hennesy was driving home at 4:30 am in the chilly weather, simply contemplating reaching home and snuggling up in bed! But all his contemplations shifted when he spotted 2 scared puppies who required assistance.
Hennesy didn’t hesitate and halted his vehicle to aid the pit bull pups, who were wounded! Therefore, he promptly reached out to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office for assistance. Fortunately, 2 police officers arrived quickly at the location. Sadly, there were traces of blood on the pavement, where the injured pups were found!
The adorable pups nuzzled against the officers, who approached them, and affectionately licked as if expressing gratitude to the cops! It appeared that they recognized that the officers intended to assist them.
When the officers lifted the pups, they noticed that one of them was bleeding. It was evident that the injured pup had been struck by a vehicle! Therefore, they made every effort to halt the bleeding.
One of the officers contacted Orange County Animal Services for assistance, while the other administered pressure and used gauze to tend to the stray’s injury. They were instructed to wait for the rescuers to arrive. The officers made every effort to keep the puppies cozy by embracing them tightly.
In due course, the 2 puppies, named Justice and Liberty, were entrusted to animal services, who assumed responsibility for their well-being. The pups have since thrived in the shelter and eagerly anticipate finding their forever homes.
