Everyone laughed at me when I showed the apartment I inherited from my father! 😂🥱People advised me to sell it, but I had other plans!🤭😏 No one believed I could make this «eyesore» look any better but the final results turned out amazing which you can see in this article! 👇
Today’s article’s heroine is a young and ambitious woman who works as a furniture designer. She inherited this apartment from her father, who worked as an architect all his life.
Although her father was making renovations, the woman decided to completely redesign the existing space and give the apartment a second chance. A decision was made to hire an interior designer.
They started the renovation process with a complete redevelopment. They added a long hallway to the living room, and the entrance to the kitchen was moved. The flooring here is tiles that imitate wood. Although the space is cramped, the designer still dared to paint the walls not in a typical light shade, but on the contrary – the walls and ceiling were painted a rich green color.
One can see a banquette with a shoe rack and an open hanger for outerwear to the right of the entrance. Here they placed a built-in storage cabinet in which there is a tray for the cat.
Herringbone parquet was laid on the floor in the living area, and the walls and ceiling were painted a light shade. There is a snow-white shelving unit, and in the center of the room there is a soft group with a TV area. Closer to the window there was a dining group with antique chairs.
Given the fact that the apartment has gas, a full-fledged partition with a door was installed between the kitchen and living room. There is a corner set installed here, which was made to order in order to rationally use every centimeter of space.
A calm gray shade for chosen for the facades. But for the tiles on the backsplash, they chose a beautiful mint shade, which became the main color accent in the space. In place of the former passage, one can now see a fridge.
This room was given over to the master bedroom. The walls were covered with green wallpaper, and a floral ornament was added to the accent wall. A decision was made to install panels on this wall. A bed with pink upholstery was also placed here. There is a chest of drawers and a large mirror by the window.
Since the owner often works from home, she needed a full-fledged office that could meet all her requirements. This room was divided into two functional zones: the first is located at the entrance – this is a recreation area; and the second is closer to the window – this is already a work area. Emphasizing zoning with the color of the walls was in their plans too: the recreation area was painted green, but the work area was painted white.
They did not combine the bathroom and toilet, as this is inconvenient in practice. As a result of the redevelopment, the area of the corridor is now connected to the bathroom. Because of this decision, it was possible to fit a washing machine here. And speaking of finishing, white rectangular tiles and pink moisture-resistant paint for the walls were chosen.
