After receiving a call about an injured poodle, Hope for Paws took an early morning trip to the desert.
Lorena Frankonyte and Eldad Hagar discovered the canine was missing his rear paw, and they knew he needed emergency medical attention.
Nonetheless, the stray dog was very hesitant, and even after being enticed with food for ten minutes, he refused to come out of the bushes. When gardeners arrived with loud equipment, he became even more anxious.
As their food supply began to dwindle, they grew concerned that they might lose the dog, so Loreta attempted a daring move to capture him.
Despite being bitten multiple times by the frightened dog, she persisted and refused to give up!
They rushed “Washington” to the car, and once he was inside, his demeanor completely changed.
Can’t wait to see his happiness when he reaches the hospital! Loreta declares that seeing Washington so happy and content made what she did absolutely worthwhile, and she would do it again.
