A senior stray dog who was injured and fearful sought refuge in a drainage pipe but became trapped. Ermioni from DAR Animal Rescue responded to rescue him and discovered him in the pipe, with his backside protruding.
The older dog, now named Aris, simply wanted to remain in the pipe, considering it a safe haven.
Ermioni described Aris, saying, “He is an older boy who has limited vision, sense of smell, and hearing. He has tested positive for leishmaniasis and Erlichia, and he also suffers from kidney failure.”
During his time on the streets, Aris had experienced violence, enduring attacks from other dogs and being shot with pellets.
Despite their efforts to locate his previous family through a police report, veterinary clinics, and social media posts, they were unable to find them.
“Aris will remain under our care, and we are committed to ensuring he has a fulfilling life for as long as it takes. He will receive his medications, nutritious food, and an abundance of love.”
