This young lady, who had a great desire to have a dog, couldn’t get one until after she completed her college education. So, she decided to volunteer at the shelter where she could be around dogs.
Hallee Fuqua, a sophomore at Oklahoma State University, had always been a dog lover and had been asking her parents for one as a Christmas gift. However, her parents were firm in their decision that she would have to wait until she finished college to get a dog.
To spend time with dogs and assist them, she started volunteering at the Humane Society of Stillwater. During her time there, she formed a strong bond with a Plott Hound mix named Rambo. Rambo had been rescued from the streets and instantly became fond of Hallee, eagerly waiting for her visits to the shelter. Although Hallee wanted to adopt Rambo, she knew she would have to wait until she graduated from college.
Hallee’s parents learned about Rambo’s special connection with her and decided to surprise her by adopting Rambo for Christmas. They contacted the shelter, who were happy to help with the surprise.
The shelter informed Hallee that Rambo had found a new family, and while she must have felt happy for him, she was undoubtedly heartbroken that she would never get to see the dog she had grown so close to again.
However, her parents could not wait until Christmas to surprise her, so they brought Rambo home and put antlers on his head. Hallee was in her pajamas when her dad rang the doorbell, and both she and Rambo were stunned to see each other. But the shock quickly turned to joy and tears as Hallee realized that Rambo was finally hers to keep.
Following the initial surprise, Rambo quickly ran into Hallee’s arms, causing her to burst into happy tears of joy. It was undoubtedly the best Christmas surprise ever, and both Rambo and Hallee were overwhelmed with happiness.
Don’t hesitate to share this heartwarming rescue and reunion story with your loved ones.
