The story of this little dog named Brandy is one of the saddest cases of abandonment. For this Fox Terrier crossing, there is no second chance or a happy ending, because his rescuers have arrived too late and the best option is to end his unnecessary suffering. ta.

Brandy lives alone in a house in Adelaide, Australia, where his employer has locked him up to support himself.

But this is not the worst that Brandy is blind and deaf so needs more attention and care than any other puppy, but for his “responsibility” this does not matter. The creature was rescued by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals RSPCA,  after responding to a complaint.

By the time help arrived, Brandy was surrounded by his own feces and the worms around him.

The deplorable conditions Brandy lived in during her final months took a toll on her health. At the time of rescue, the puppy had an ear infection, intestinal worms, an ingrown toenail and an infection from an abscess, advanced dental disease, and one eye was swollen.

We don’t understand how someone could do something as cruel as leaving a blind and deaf little dog in self-defense.

Brandy’s case touched the rescuers greatly because despite all their efforts to save him, the creature was put to sleep to stop his pain.

The little animal had to endure the pain of his illness for many months. Because of that, the  RSPCA did everything to make  Geoffrey Mortensen, the owner of Brandy, 54, pay for his negligence.

Mortensen was brought before the law for what happened to the puppy and the RSPCA ‘s chief inspector , Andrea Lewis, testified against him.

Andrea exposed the level of neglect Brandy had suffered and the reasons why he had to be put to sleep, this being one of the worst cases he had handled in his RSPCA career .

“This was a blind, deaf, totally vulnerable older dog who was completely rejected by his owners when he needed them most,” Lewis said.

Mortensen was found liable but served only 6 months behind bars, after posting a two-year good conduct bond.

The man is also prohibited from keeping any kind of pet. Though all this is not enough compared to all he has to endure before peace is achieved. Unfortunately, that’s the way the law is, which is why many people are asking for increased punishment in cases of neglect and abuse of animals, they are vulnerable creatures!

Share this note and be the voice of the voiceless, let’s not be indifferent and let’s discover to the whole world how terrible this case is.
