A deer in Alabama found itself in a difficult situation – it was trapped in a storm drain. The Troy Fire Department was alerted about the stuck deer and sent their firefighters to the location.
The deer was visibly distressed and unable to escape on its own.
“This deer found itself in a difficult situation with no escape route! You never know what the next call will bring!” the department wrote in the Facebook post. The firefighters posted a video of the rescue mission. They used a combination of straps and a blanket to cover the deer’s head and prevent it from getting agitated. The team worked together to lift the deer out of the manhole.
After successfully extricating the deer from the sewer, the firefighters meticulously removed the blanket and straps, and joyfully watched as he promptly stood up and scampered into the woods.
The firefighters expressed their happiness to help and said, “It is always a pleasure to assist! We have the best job ever!” Congratulations, guys!
