Stray Rescue of St. Louis responded to a call for help for a frightened dog who was trembling and shaking uncontrollably. The dog had taken refuge between two buildings and was too afraid to come out. Thomas Coffee, the owner of a nearby shop, had placed blankets and food nearby to try and coax the dog out. While it was a kind gesture, the dog was in need of further care and attention.
Rescue workers had a reassuring demeanor and were able to communicate to the dog that they were there to assist her. Currently, she is out of danger and prepared to be placed in a temporary foster home for a new opportunity at life. In this environment, she will learn socialization skills and the meaning of being a companion animal before eventually finding her ideal permanent home! 🙂
