It is known that elderly people enjoy having pets for companionship in their later years. However, sometimes these seniors may not be able to take care of themselves, leaving their pets without proper care as well.
This Persian cat named Sinbad was in a bad state of health because his owner, who was elderly, could not take care of him. Sinbad ended up living alone in a basement due to his owner’s inability to care for him.
Fortunately, while working in the same house, a utility worker discovered Sinbad inside a basement and immediately contacted The Anti-Cruelty Society (ACS) to help the cat.
Luckily, Sinbad’s tangled fur was trimmed, and he received the care he required. The most wonderful thing was that a Chicago ACS worker named Elliott Serrano became fond of Sinbad and decided to foster him initially. Later on, Elliott realized that he needed Sinbad in his life, so he adopted him permanently.
