The onset of spring brings with it a plethora of surprises. It’s the time of year when colorful blooms start appearing on plants, birds can be heard chirping merrily in the trees, and showers and storms provide much-needed precipitation to replenish the earth.
Spring surprises are always delightful, and it’s also the season of new beginnings. Butterflies emerge from their cocoons, baby birds break free from their eggs, and adorable fawns are born.
A woman recently had a special spring surprise when she left her backdoor open during a storm and returned to find a heartwarming sight: three spotted fawns snuggled up and resting comfortably in her living room!
She explained, “I take care of orphaned wildlife. Recently, the rear entrance was open as a storm was approaching. The deer were missing, so I entered the house and was on my way to the front door when I spotted them resting next to an end table in the living room. I told them they could spend the night in the house as the weather was going to be bad.”
The deer preferred the safety of the house and sought refuge with their rescuer, who did not want the deer to face the stormy weather outside. She let them stay in the house, ensuring they were comfortable, warm, and safe.
Amscolie commented, “But who could ever refuse a face like this?”
We concur, it would be impracticable to resist those adorable imploring eyes and send them outside in the storm. They are so charming and look so content cuddling up on her living room floor. To be frank, it would be nearly impossible to ever make them depart!
