When comrades were out on a boating excursion, they spotted a cow struggling to swim in the deep lake. They could see that she was exhausted and in danger of drowning. They immediately knew they had to assist her in reaching the shore. They attempted to tow her back, but her head kept going under the water. That’s when they devised an alternative plan.
One of the sailors recounted, “The location is Lake Tinaroo in the Atherton Tablelands, North Queensland [in Australia]. We were out on the lake enjoying a day of skurfing. We were cruising at a high speed when Laura spotted the cow in the water. We immediately stopped and turned back to find the cow struggling for her life. With great effort, we managed to lift the cow onto the back of the boat and bring her safely to shore. Before we left, the cow even affectionately head-butted Paul.”
