Even though we may be thrifty, most of us would like to pamper ourselves on occasion. We sometimes need to look beyond the things that we need in life and give ourselves something that we want.
One person who understands this very well is Kelly Beasley from Marana, Arizona. She also had something that she wanted, but she hit the news when she took things to the next level.
If there are two things that Beasley loves in life, it’s living the recreational vehicle lifestyle and looking her best. This became a matter of public interest when she made the RV her home in August 2023 after selling her house. She did so because she wanted to get a surgical procedure.
Embarking on an RV lifestyle is something that many people spend an entire life preparing for. Beasley, however, seemed to jump into it with both feet because she wanted a facelift.
Going back a little further in 2015, that was when Beasley moved out of her home and started the RV lifestyle. She had also met her business partner and friend, Marshall, and they created the Camp Addict website together.
Beasley also wanted to look her best, so according to some reports, she started using fillers and getting Botox in her late 20s. This continued for years but when she was 48, she knew that she needed more than just an occasional boost.
She had written that her face was ‘dropping fast’ and she knew that facial surgery was the only option for her. It would include a neck lift, lip lift, fat transfer, and facelift.
The problem was, it would come at a price tag of up to $60,000 and she couldn’t afford it. That is when she found an option in Mexico that would do it for $14,000, so she booked a date and got busy.
Prior to having the surgery, she put her three-bedroom home in Arizona up for sale. She said: “I sold my house as a cushion to pay for it. The results are beyond what I expected. I didn’t expect to look younger. People say I look in my 30s. I’m loving my look and looking the most fabulous that I can.”
In speaking about the surgery, she said it lasted for four hours and she had ‘a giant crazy bandage’ wrapping her head when she woke up. She also said that she had to wear a ‘face bra’ for two weeks but she didn’t have any pain.
Once she healed, she continued with her RV lifestyle full-time. She also got a lot of media attention, both for the surgery and for her lifestyle choices.
