The dog in the video called Tuffy, who spent most of his life in a small crate at a dog fighting ring. So, it is sure that he could just jump after being freed. The clip below shows Tuffy splashing and jumping around in a pool in his new place.
After rescuing, he is now at Animals Asia’s Vietnam sanctuary. Dog fighting rings causing massive damage to their bodies. Fortunately, the dogs are then sold for illegal dog fighting.
However, Tuffy’s body was really damaged which it then be treated. He also had cracked, dry paws, and 3 fractured teeth when he arrived at the sanctuary.
But the clip shows that Tuffy is now enjoying his new life very much. The dog wildly jumps and splashes around the pool. Louise Ellis, Animals Asia Dog Manager, said that for Tuffy, when you are being forced to fight for years with no freedom, it’s just like being parched for a long time, then being in a true oasis.
The bear bile industry is a lucrative trade worth millions of dollars. However, there are still thousands of bears kept in bile farms in China and Vietnam, with over 10,000 bears in China and over 1,200 bears in Vietnam.
Fortunately, Animal Asia has rescued approximately 600 bears since its establishment in 1998. The organization operates two sanctuaries, one in China and another in Vietnam.
