Unfortunate Tumbleweed! The 5-month-old Great Pyrenees puppy was discovered trapped on a cactus and quickly taken to the hospital at the Arizona Humane Society in recent times.
Nina, an emergency animal medical technician with AHS, came across the distressed puppy covered in burrs and spines from the unforgiving cactus.
Fortunately, Nina was able to free him and provide him with medical assistance.
The team of veterinarians noted that the puppy’s long fur had become entwined with the cactus burrs to the extent that they had to shave him down and painstakingly remove all the prickly objects.
Even though Tumbleweed appeared perplexed about the situation, he remained “gentle” throughout “the entire ordeal.”
“On Facebook, the veterinary team noted, “Tumbleweed’s sweet nature never wavered during the entire ordeal. The kind-hearted pup patiently waited as we carefully removed the painful spines from his entire body.”
And it didn’t take long for Tumbleweed to be adopted into a new home. Within a week of being rescued and made available for adoption, he found a loving forever home.
