One of Santa’s most endearing assistants brought joy to numerous dogs and cats by bestowing them with an extraordinary Christmas this year.
Landyn Wadsworth, an 8-year-old child, desired to make the holiday season of the dogs and cats residing in the Tri-Cities Animal Shelter located in Pasco, Washington, exceptional by donating essential supplies to them.
Instead of requesting toys as presents, she asked for contributions and commenced a fundraising campaign to purchase provisions, including food, for dogs and cats. She amassed a significant sum of money, enabling her to deliver a towering heap of food and supplies to the shelter on Christmas Eve. The stack of goods was taller than her, and she had an enormous Christmas sack filled with provisions for the animals.
The Tri-Cities Shelter Facebook page published the following message:
“Landyn wished for food donations for the shelter for Christmas, and it appears that her wish has come true! We are extremely grateful for your generosity, and I’m certain that the dogs and cats are as well!”
This is the third year in which Landyn has collected gifts for the shelter. In 2016, after visiting the shelter and noticing that so many animals did not have homes for Christmas, Landyn’s mother, Alisha, informed KEPR that Landyn became sad and decided to take action.
Landyn is an exceptional young girl with an enormous heart. She has already commenced collecting money for the next year.
Kindly share her heartwarming tale with your loved ones. Alternatively, contact your local shelter and inquire about ways to provide assistance.
