The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attend a tennis tournament. Meghan Markle opted for a Californian girl look for her night out.
Prince Harry, who celebrated his 40th birthday, appeared with his 43-year-old chosen one at the George Seiffen charity tennis tournament in Los Angeles. The event was organized by the Alliance for Children’s Rights, which the Duke and Duchess of Sussex support through their Archiewell Foundation. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry joined Kelly McKee Seiffen, her husband Julian and daughter Lily. For the son of Charles III, this was the only public appearance in honor of the anniversary, which he celebrated on September 15.
The former American actress chose a cream Giuliva Heritage sleeveless button-down mini dress, teamed with matching ankle strap heeled sandals and a handbag in the same color scheme. Meghan wore light daytime makeup and let her hair down in loose curls. Rayban Aviator sunglasses completed the outfit. Prince Harry wore a white basic T-shirt, a navy blue club blazer, blue jeans and gray sneakers
The tournament has been held annually for more than 20 years and was recently renamed in honor of Kelly and Julian Seiffen’s son, George, who suddenly contracted and died of the viral illness at age 9. Kelly became friends with Meghan after the disgraced British royal couple stepped down from their royal duties in 2020 and moved to the United States. She made a moving address to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
“What an incredible day! Full of emotion and so much love… Harry and Meghan, you have been such a guiding light for our family, not only in the way you have shown yourself as a friend, but also in the way you have shown yourself through the incredible work that the Archiewell Foundation does every day. I admire your commitment to community and friendship. On behalf of the Alliance for Children’s Rights, thank you. On behalf of our family, we love you,” Kelly said.
The activist said that the proceeds will go to support children in foster care, ensuring they have the legal protection, resources and opportunities they need. She also congratulated the Duke of Sussex on his anniversary. “Also a special day… Prince Harry, happy 40th birthday! May this trip around the sun be the best one yet. Love, Kelly, Julian, Lily and George,” Seiffen added.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have kept their plans for the anniversary celebration under wraps. However, an insider reported that Meghan and Harry have thrown a private party for a small circle at their estate in Montecito, California. After that, the Duke of Sussex will go to celebrate the anniversary without Meghan Markle – he will spend a few days in the mountains in the company of close friends, reports Hello!
There has been a thaw in the relationship between the disgraced prince and his British relatives. Members of the royal family have congratulated Harry on his birthday for the first time in three years. The message appeared on the official pages of Charles II and his wife Camilla, as well as Prince William and Kate Middleton.
